ABOUT SHERRI
Sherri Miller is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who also holds credentials in Special Education, General Education, and Administration.
Sherri graduated from Cal State, Sacramento, where she earned a BA in Liberal Studies and a multiple subjects teaching credential. After graduating, Sherri taught in a program for high school students with a variety of developmental disabilities. The communication challenges many of them had, led to difficulty expressing their wants and needs. She found herself wanting to continue working to help her students improve their communication and decrease their interfering behaviors.
After moving to San Diego, Sherri earned her Master’s Degree in Education, as well as a credential in Special Education from the University of San Diego. Her focus area of study was autism.
Sherri has had the opportunity to teach students in public schools with autism and other developmental delays at the pre-school, elementary, high school, and adult levels, and has learned something from all of them. “Each child has their unique strengths and interests that we must help them build upon, to become productive, contributing members of our community,” said Sherri. As a public-school administrator, Sherri has provided supervision, training and support to classroom staff, service providers and parents to ensure continuity of support to their children.
As a BCBA, Sherri founded FAST ABA and has worked with numerous families in their homes, supporting their children and providing training and expertise to empower parents to help their children achieve their goals. All children can learn and develop skills to help them be more independent, and Sherri takes pride in being a part of their success.
When asked about something families should know about FAST ABA, Sherri says, “Through evidence based practices, we can work together to teach your children new skills that will improve their quality of life, their success at school, and the interactions with their family and community members.”
